Tony Jantschke injury not as bad as suspected

By: otto | December 16th, 2008

The injury Tony Jantschke sustained in the Dortmund match, which was feared to be a broken cheekbone has proven not to be as bad as suspected. After a harsh foul by BVB’s Jakub Błaszczykowski, the eighteen year-old was knocked unconscious and taken to a hospital for overnight observation. Following examination, the club ruled out the break although noted he did suffer a concussion. Along with Christofer Heimeroth and Karim Matmour, Jantschke have stayed at home for the trip to Israel.
