The tombs of Bökelbergstadion shook once again as Borussia put forth a total team display defeating Hamburg 4-1 Saturday afternoon. However five minutes later Mladen Petrić canceled out the lead striking from the twelve metres out. The scoring didn’t stop as before the break Tobias Levels gave Borussia the lead again as surging in on the ‘keeper to the left his initial shot was blocked by Joris Mathijsen but he managed to send the rebound in with his left foot to take the 2-1 lead at the break.
Borussia extended the lead nine minutes after the break as Roel Brouwers got on the end of Filip Daems cross and drove the ball in. A few minutes past the hour Karim Matmour raced into the box and a penalty was called after he was taken down from behind.
